Atlantis, the Palm

Atlantis, The Palm is hard to top if you’re scouring for the best hotels in Dubai for kids. The endless experiences on offer make the 5-star resort feel like a playground for families, with new levels of fun.

Spectacularly situated at the end of Palm Jumeirah, the hotel’s Aquaventure waterpark (free to visit as a hotel guest) is a must for families visiting Dubai; it even features a slide through a shark tank!

Their ‘Lost Chambers’ aquarium invites kids and adults alike into an underwater world, and Wavehouse provides hours of entertainment with 50+ arcade games, a bowling alley and the Surf’s Up wave rider.

Jumeirah Beach Hotel

Jumeirah Beach Hotel is one of the best hotels in Dubai for families with children, who make up the majority of the clientele. The 5-star hotel has a private stretch of beach along the Arabian Gulf and over a dozen restaurants and bars offering international cuisine.

The spacious rooms and suites include floor-to-ceiling, ocean-view windows. Studio-style family rooms and family two-bedroom suites are available. All guests receive complimentary and unlimited access to the adjacent Wild Wadi Waterpark, a favourite with kids.

Another nice feature for younger children is the on-site activity centre, which features a climbing wall, musical instruments, and a kid’s club with a water play area.

Jumeirah Al Naseem Madinat Jumeirah

The best Dubai hotels for families include Jumeirah Al Naseem, the newest and most modern hotel within the huge Madinat Jumeirah complex. Direct beach access, upmarket dining and spa facilities, and fancy rooms, including family setups and interconnecting rooms.

The Wild Wadi Waterpark is under a 10-minute walk away, and tickets are included with every guest’s stay. Jumeirah Al Naseem also runs a Kid’s Club with indoor and outdoor playgrounds and fun activities. A free shuttle service from DXB aids a stress-free arrival and departure, which is wonderful when travelling as a family.

Grand Hyatt Dubai

Unlike most of Dubai’s resort hotels, which line the beachfront, the Grand Hyatt Dubai is centrally located at the edge of the city’s historic creek, overlooking the sparkling Dubai skyline. The hotel has an exclusive feel yet features that cater to all ages, making it one of the best family hotels in Dubai.

The elegant accommodations with Arabic details include family suites and interconnecting rooms. Babysitting services are available if adults fancy slipping out for dinner at one of over a dozen on-site restaurants.

Kids will also love the free popsicles routinely handed out by staff around the pool. The Kid’s Club and outdoor pools for kids and adults provide plenty of daytime entertainment, plus the huge atrium is an interesting addition, especially for your littlest ones. The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi Beach Resort & Marina

The Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi is a 5-star luxury resort with its own 550-yard private beach nearby, offering views of the Palm Jumeirah. As with many of the best hotels in Dubai for families, The Westin is located close to the exciting Wild Wadi Waterpark, though in-house guests can now enjoy the incredible new Jungle Bay Water Park within the hotel grounds!

The hotel is adjacent to Le Meridien and shares many of the excellent facilities of Club Mina. Families can take advantage of the kids’ pool and kids’ club, which offer daily beach games for participation.

Chic Deluxe rooms with 2 Queen beds and Family Suite Sea View Rooms can comfortably accommodate families. One&Only Royal Mirage

The One&Only Royal Mirage is one of the best Dubai hotels for families seeking an ultra-luxury 5-star stay. The property stretches along a pristine length of Jumeirah Beach and is made up of three gorgeous hotels: Arabian Court, The Palace, and the Residences & Spa.

The immaculate gardens, dramatic Arabesque architecture, and decorative Arabian details are stunning. Impeccable facilities include four swimming pools, a spa with a hammam, a Kids Club, and two playgrounds.

Another of the best hotels in Dubai for kids is the elegant Waldorf Astoria, situated on the eastern crescent of the Palm Jumeirah. Families can enjoy 200 meters of palm-peppered private beach and a range of dining options from Arabian to International.

A shuttle service is available for easy visits to nearby attractions; the popular Aquaventure Waterpark is just five minutes away. Roda al Murooj Residences

Roda al Murooj Residences is the best Dubai hotel for kids and parents looking for a more independent stay, with apartments of up to three bedrooms, immediately adjacent to Dubai Mall.

Each unit is self-catered with a kitchen including a fridge and oven, and the facilities of a hotel such as a 24-hour front desk, fitness centre, sauna and hot tub.

A buffet breakfast and a car rental counter for family trips out are also available. Kids will love the garden, year-round outdoor pool and children’s playground – the good news for parents is they stay for free. Complimentary cots and infant beds are available.

InterContinental Dubai Festival City

Intercontinental Dubai Festival City is set up to be one of the best hotels for kids in Dubai. It’s located around 15 minutes out of Downtown Dubai and only 10 minutes from Dubai International Airport – a superb option if you are only on a short stopover to Dubai and want to stay near DXB Airport.

The hotel offers exclusive access to the Dubai Festival City Mall which has over 500 retail stores for family shopping, and the eye-catching IMAGINE water, laser, light and fire spectacle that will have kids’ eyes goggling (as well as Fontana Circus this winter).

The 30-yard outdoor pool is a highlight for kids, with panoramic views of Dubai Creek. A children’s pool and babysitting or childcare service will also allow parents to sneak in a spa session. Don’t miss one amazing feature- if you dare! – an entirely glass infinity pool that dangles over the edge of the hotel!

Doubletree by Hilton Jumeirah Beach

Doubletree has a great location on Jumeirah Beach’s ”The Walk’ waterfront promenade. Spacious one, two, and three-bedroom suites come with private balconies, and some have fully equipped kitchens and sea views.

Kids will be won over early on with the welcome DoubleTree Chocolate Chip Cookie upon arrival, not to mention the children’s pool, private sandy beach and kid-friendly menus in a choice of restaurants.

Doubletree is one of the last high-rise hotels along The Beach waterfront of JBR, which puts it right next to the bridge over to Bluewater Island and all the eateries and entertainment on offer (including the soon-to-reopen Ain Dubai Ferris wheel). For convenience and facilities, this makes it one of the best beachfront hotels in Dubai for families.

LEGOLAND^® Hotel Dubai 

Tell us a youngster who wouldn’t love staying in a themed room at Legoland with tickets to their favourite theme park? Newly opened in 2022, Legoland^® Dubai Hotel is the third hotel to open as part of the Dubai Parks & Resorts complex in Jebel Ali, to the west of Dubai city centre.

The 250 colourfully decorated rooms come in five different Lego themes and can sleep families of up to five in one room. On-site, there is a swimming pool, splash pad, and plenty of character meet-and-greets with themed activities.

This is one of the best family-friendly hotels in Dubai for young guests; broadly, your 4-year-old to 10-year-old age group would benefit the most.

Also consider: If staying in the Lego-themed rooms isn’t a priority for your youngsters, the other two options for Dubai Parks & Resorts are the excellent value Rove at the Park with a shuttle to the theme parks, or our favourite is Lapita, Autograph Collection, the Polynesian themed resort with excellent pools and lazy river

Centara Mirage Beach Resort Dubai

This Thai-inspired hotel recently opened in the Deira Islands, a sensational all-inclusive family resort option to consider on your trip to Dubai. During your stay, kids will have access to the on-site waterpark and adventure park with slides and rope courses, or why not indulge in the family spa?

You won’t want to leave your hotel, as you’re spoilt with three swimming pools, five on-site restaurants, and many of the 600+ rooms that come fitted with bunk beds! We love that they offer meal plans and even all-inclusive packages.

Deira Islands is one of the latest areas of Dubai to be developed. It’s not far from DXB Airport and the Dubai Creek Area, and Downtown is also easy to access by taxi.

JA The Resort

A less obvious choice for visitors to Dubai is to head west of the city’s main hotel and resort areas to the coastal resort complex JA The Resort. This sprawling complex at Jebel Ali Beach comprises three hotel resorts packed with family activities. You can book family suites and meal packages, including all-inclusive, for the perfect relaxing family vacation on the Arabian Gulf.

Activities on offer vary from water skiing and water sports to horse riding; indulge in a round of golf, try your shooting skills, have a hit on the tennis courts or simply relax at one of the 25 bars and restaurants. It’s one of our top recommended resorts for older children who love their holiday activities.

The only disadvantage we would note is that the resort is more remote than the others we’ve listed here, so you are not connected to the public transportation system in Dubai and will incur a decent taxi or Careem/Uber fare wherever you’re headed.

If it’s a resort with everything your family could desire in one location, and you simply want to enjoy the abundant sunshine of Dubai, this could be the best value family resort choice in Dubai.

Bab al Shams Desert Resort

Bab al Shams is a little different and the best hotel in Dubai for families craving a luxurious Middle East escape. The hotel is constructed around an oasis, encircled by natural landscapes and 50 minutes from the bustle of Downtown Dubai in Al Marmoom Desert Conservation Reserve.

Despite its more remote location, this unique resort offers plenty to do: three outdoor pools, a kid’s pool, the Aladin’s Kid’s Club (ages 4-12), and an adventure playground.

Children under 12 stay free, and younger kids can enjoy Sinbad’s Kids’ Club and a separate shaded pool. Families can have an adventure exploring the surrounding desert by jeep, horse or camel. Cribs, rollaway beds and connecting rooms are available upon request.

Dubai hotels with water park access

Families staying at the following hotels will get access to one of Dubai’s three largest water parks. These can be a great value when you factor in the cost of a single day at a water park + accommodation and transport costs within the city.

However, consider how much value you will get from staying at one of these attached hotels; of course, the complimentary ticket cost is included in your nightly rate. If you plan to do plenty of things other than just the water park on a trip to Dubai, you may lose some of the value of staying at an attached property for a premium.

We won’t provide exact pricing for each hotel and waterpark ticket, as it changes frequently – you will often find special package offers, particularly during the summer low season.

Jumeirah Group Hotels – Wild Wadi

Wild Wadi Waterpark is attached to the iconic Jumeirah Beach Hotel. However, guests at any of the Jumeirah group hotels in Dubai can take advantage of a free ticket to Wild Wadi. This includes guests staying beachside at:

• Burj Al Arab
• Jumeirah Al Naseem
• Jumeirah Al Qasr
• Jumeirah Beach Hotel
• Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf
• Jumeirah Mina A’Salam
• Jumeirah Zabeel Saray – Palm Jumeirah

As well as their city properties Jumeirah Creekside Hotel and Jumeirah Emirates Towers. Each of these hotels is exquisite, but they come with a hefty price tag, too (and not all have brilliant room configurations for families without upgrading to much larger suites).

Of all the Jumeirah group hotels, we’d generally recommend Jumeirah Beach Hotel for its incredibly extensive family facilities.

Our next favourite pick for family facilities is Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, located on the outer frond of the Palm Jumeirah. The poolside facilities here are excellent and include a mini water park feature with several slides.

6 Dubai Hotels With Water Parks and Slides

Al Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection

Sitting at the eastern end of JBR Beach, Al Habtoor Grand Resort, Autograph Collection is a lush beachside oasis bursting with surprises. As well as the three family swimming pools and a kids’ playground, you will find a small waterfall and two incredible slides.

Grand Hyatt Dubai

Not often thought about, as it does not sit along the Arabian Gulf beachfront like most, the Grand Hyatt certainly delivers on family entertainment. Nestled on Dubai Creek, it is conveniently close to the airport, making it an excellent choice for short stopover and fly-through guests who want to enjoy a bit of the Dubai weather en route.

You can expect to find three swimming pools – including one of the largest pools in Dubai, an indoor pool, and a kids-only pool with a giant splash playground and slides. Plenty of flexible room layouts accommodate family-sized groups and offer a choice of 10 restaurants.

Important note in 2025: They are massively expanding the pool and family facilities here to include a complete water park. Great news for future stays, but this means presently the main kids’ pool is shut for renovations. Please bear this in mind before booking this resort!

Centara Mirage Dubai

What can we say about Centara?! Arguably THE Dubai hotel is entirely built with families in mind. You’ll find not just a mini water park with slides in this Deira Islands hotel but a lazy river, ropes course and a water obstacle course set out on the beachfront.

The family-friendliness of this Dubai resort doesn’t stop there; many rooms are fitted with bunk beds to fit all the family in one room, 5 on-site restaurants to choose from, a family spa where kids are welcome, and elusive all-inclusive packages are available.

Le Meridien & the Westin Dubai Mina Seyahi

A beachfront offering that will blow the kids away. Here you will find an incredible 1.2km long beachfront, a lush garden setting with five swimming pools – two dedicated to families and access to Club Mina with a sensational range of recreational sports on offer and Kids Club.

Sofitel Dubai The Palm

The Sofitel is a superb example of an all-in-one family resort in Dubai. You could easily settle in for a week here and still not get bored with the range of entertainment on offer.

A Polynesian-styled resort, families can enjoy the three swimming pools, as well as the Amura Kids Club and extensive beach frontage on the Palm. Kids will love the addition of a slide into the main swimming pool, and there are plenty of flexible room options and villas (some even with private pools) to suit different family sizes.

Dukes The Palm, A Royal Hideaway

This hotel isn’t huge, but it has a few features families will love, not just one of the most incredible infinity pools that look back over to JBR but a meandering lazy river in the shaded gardens. This one won’t break the bank either, so well worth having on your “something special” list for kids in Dubai if the idea of staying at one of the larger resorts doesn’t appeal.

Nikki Beach Resort & Spa

Nikki Beach is one of the world’s most renowned beach club brands, and its location on Pearl Jumeirah Island is one of the best beach clubs in Dubai. It’s the perfect place to relax with its oval-shaped pool, poolside cabanas, and beachside beds. There’s even a swim-up bar.

This club also has a local DJ to get the crowd dancing in the evenings. Additionally, they host several special events throughout the week. If you want to have a pool party in Dubai, this is the place to go.

On Tuesdays, ladies are treated to unlimited beverages and bar bites, along with a sun lounger, for just 149 AED. Fridays offer pool access and unlimited beverages between 1.00 pm and 5.00 pm for just AED 349. Sunday brunch packages are also on offer, starting at 285 AED.

Kyma Beach

One of this club’s greatest attractions is its unparalleled views of the iconic Burj Al Arab. It also has access to a pool and an incredible beach.

In addition, Summersalt Dubai has a chic outdoor restaurant with cuisines based on the Spice Route. There’s even a local DJ. It’s the perfect spot for great food, great music, and great views.

White Beach

This chic beach club features an infinity pool, an outdoor restaurant, and a live event space. In addition to that, it provides breathtaking views of both the Marina Skyline and the legendary Atlantis, The Palm.

This is a great spot to chill out in the daytime and an excellent place to party at night. Every Tuesday, ladies can enjoy unlimited drinks and beach and pool access for just 200 AED.

February 30

With its striking red and white umbrellas and brilliant location on West Beach, this Beirut concept splashed onto the Dubai beach club scene in 2022. It is a wonderful day-to-night destination where the focus is equally on its superb cuisine and relaxing on its sun loungers.

Their wicker-roofed bar screams Baliness vives, whilst the menu may surprise with a fusion of Japanese and Meditterian-style bites.

A single bed on weekdays is 150 AED, fully redeemable, whilst at the weekend, you’re looking at 250 AED singles/500 AED doubles, also fully redeemable.

Soul Beach

An adult-only beach club offering a ‘contemporary beach escape’ just outside the city in Jebel Ali.

The stunning marina side location, private beach and gorgeous infinity pool make this the ideal getaway from the hustle and bustle of the city. The trendy, chic decor adds to the experience and overall sense of indulgence.

The food is good, and whilst portions are small, they are reasonably priced.

During weekdays, the beach club is fairly chilled out, with a resident DJ playing a mixture of house-style music at the top of the beach. The ambience is turned up a notch at the weekend with regular beach parties and festivals.

The extensive afternoon tea menu features a range of elegant finger sandwiches, delectable pastries and traditional scones. An upgrade to a sparkling package is also available, provided you are seated in the extensive alfresco terraces.

At.Mosphere

High tea in Dubai doesn’t get much higher than At.Mosphere (in fact, it is the tallest high tea in the world!) Sitting on the 122nd floor of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa, At.Mosphere High Tea provides two separate menus and views that you have to see to believe.

The At.Mosphere High Tea dining at Burj Khalifa offers plenty to choose from in terms of patisseries and mini-sandwiches. Alternatively, dine on champagne and roast chicken from the luxury menu.

This is one of those truly special moments to save up for if you are visiting Dubai, not only the best Dubai views but the best in decadent dining.

Where to find At.Mosphere: Burj Khalifa, 122nd floor, 1 Sheik Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard. Open every day from 7:00 am to 2:00 am. High Tea is served in the Lounge and Bar between 12:30 pm and 4:30 pm, costing 599 AED per person. Children from 5 to 10 can dine on La Gourmandizes menu for AED399 per person. Under 5s are not allowed. Note that the venue recommends booking for the limited window seating at least a week in advance.

The 46th-floor high pool at Taj Jumeirah Lakes Towers is undoubtedly one of the best swimming pools in Dubai. It looks over Dubai Marina and is surrounded by the stunning Burj Khalifa and Downtown Dubai skyline.

One&Only The Palm Dubai

Bursting its way to the top of our revised list for 2023, the long-awaited Address Beach Resort in JBR has opened to spectacular applause with a see-it-to-believe-it rooftop infinity pool.

Sitting at a towering 964.2 feet/ 294m above the beach it has quickly earned the Guinness World Record title as the highest infinity pool in the world (it’s Dubai, of course!)

Offering some of the city’s most spectacular views, the sky-high infinity pool on Level 77 offers sunken lounges and snakes around the roof of the building. The Penthouse at Five Palm Jumeirah

Located near the start of Palm Jumeirah, Five Palm is the go-to party hotel in the city. Many people who have partied there claim that The Penthouse has one of the best swimming pools in Dubai. Address Sky View

The spectacular new Address Sky View hotel opened in 2020, boasting one of the best-unreviled views of the Burj Khalifa from its rooftop pool on the 54th-floor Sky Deck.

A sky bridge connects two highrise towers, housing the highest infinity pool in Dubai. Due to its exclusive location, the pool itself is not huge, and space is limited. However, there are two other pools within the hotel for guests to enjoy. Cabanas on the rooftop can be hired for 1000 AED (500 AED redeemable on F&B), fitting up to four guests.

Although the Park Regis Kris Kin is located north of downtown, in one of Dubai’s older areas, it is still known to have one of the best hotel pools Dubai has to offer. The Park Regis Kris Kin is a gem of a five-star hotel, and its rooftop offers spectacular views of downtown Dubai’s skyline.

InterContinental Dubai Festival City

The rooftop of the fantastic Intercontinental Dubai Festival City Hotel is home to one of the most unique pools in Dubai. The temperature of the pool is kept perfectly regulated, giving it a refreshing temperature at all times. The pool also has a glass tank section that extends off the side of the building.

Once you go in there, you may feel like you are swimming in the sky and are in danger of falling to the streets below. This feeling can be super-exciting or extremely terrifying. If you are not inside the pool, you can still get amazing views from the rooftop, especially of the boats that go past the hotel below.

The rooftop pool at Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach is arguably the coolest infinity pool Dubai has to offer. The poolside features super comfy bean bags, and pool chairs are shaded by palm trees. Not only do guests get excellent poolside service, but they also get the breathtaking views that come from being so high up in the city. All you need to do is look and see the beautiful Arabian Gulf.

As with many other rooftop pools, access is only given to guests of the hotel. However, the Infiniti Pool Lounge is open to the public and serves delicious finger foods and cocktails, along with shisha.

Opening things off, we couldn’t resist sharing a personal favourite and maybe lesser-known to those outside of the UAE.

Le Royal Meridien Beach Resort & Spa is set in 19 acres of beautifully landscaped gardens at the eastern end of JBR. Overlooking the aqua waters of the Arabian Gulf, Le Royal Meridien makes for a gorgeous stay at a 5-star hotel on the beach in Dubai.

The 504 tastefully decorated rooms have stunning ocean views, or look out to the swanky Dubai Marina. Superb facilities, including three swimming pools, an ultra-modern fitness centre and a spa keep all types of travellers happy, including young families, thanks to the Family Kids Club – you can even enjoy a round of crazy golf in the gardens!

The beach resort also features Dubai’s only beachfront boardwalk, where visitors from all corners of the world delight in opulent shops and restaurants. Several water sports are also on offer (additional charge) along the sandy beachfront of Jumeirah Beach.

Not to be confused with the Royal Meridien we described above, Le Meridien Mina Seyahi is another superb 5-star beachfront choice, especially for families and water sports lovers.

You are situated along the section of Jumeirah that sits to the west of the Palm and surrounded by the beautiful Mina Club, gorgeous 1km long white sandy beachfront, five temperature-controlled pools including two shaded kids pool choices, tennis courts, water sports centre and the wonder Le Meridien Kids Club.

The stunning superyachts of Dubai Harbour by Merass are immediately adjacent.

The generously sized rooms can all fit up to 4 guests with Deluxe Rooms, Club Rooms and Suites available and a vast range of dining choices – the Latest Recipe being a popular family brunching spot in Dubai.

Atlantis the Palm

This 5-star luxury hotel is probably one of the city’s most well-known and iconic resorts, with an ocean theme to complement its location by the waters of the Arabian Gulf on the iconic Palm Island.

Families will love one of the best beach hotels in Dubai featuring on-site Atlantis Aquaventure, the city’s biggest aquarium and arguably one of the best water parks that will entertain kids for hours on end.

Couples and foodies alike can enjoy an impressive range of award-winning celebrity chef restaurants, with the likes of Gordon Ramsey and Ronda Locatelli serving up their creations. Ossiano restaurant also offers an otherworldly dining experience as fish, stingrays, and sharks swim beside your table behind huge window walls.

JA The Resort

JA The Resort is the largest beach hotel in Dubai, with the resort sprawling over 128 acres. The 5-star hotel boasts 800 meters of beach and has everything you could dream of. This is the perfect place for those who like unlimited possibilities with their holidays.

There are three hotels within the resort; the JA Beach Hotel which overlooks the Gulf shore, offering 235 rooms, a private marina and lush gardens. JA Palm Tree Court is perfect for families, and the 208 suites are just a stone’s throw from the sea.

JA Lake View Hotel has amazing views of the resort’s 9-hole championship golf course, three outdoor swimming pools, and five dining experiences.

This resort sits a little further away from the main attractions of the city, about 20 minutes beyond Dubai Marina & JBR on the Gulf Coast. Taxis are, therefore a little more expensive and a longer commute to DXB airport, but this resort hotel absolutely makes up for it in spades with the generous resort offering at very affordable prices.
