Luxury villas in Dubai offering private pools

What should I know before renting a short-term holiday villa in Dubai?

You can find family villas to rent all over the city of Dubai, but you will find varying reviews for these villas. Certainly not all have temperature controlled pools, nor highly responsive hosts.

In order to be an AirBnB host in Dubai, there are numerous check villa owners must go through. We do regard AirBnB to be a reliable place to hire your villa from in Dubai – but do always check the details of what you’re getting. In particular, inclusions such as housekeeping services should be checked to avoid any nasty surprises.

You can also hire private villas that sit within hotel resort complexes. We have included a selection of both AirBnB properties and private hotel villas in our round-up as I know many have a preference for one style of family accommodation over the other.

Which areas of Dubai can I rent a villa?

There are many locations around Dubai that offer villa properties for short term let. The most exclusive can be found on the Palm Jumeirah and in the beach side suburbs.

Don’t entirely dismiss properties that are not immediately adjacent to the beach in Dubai. You can still enjoy the luxury of your own private villa pool, then make day trips to one of Dubai’s many free public beaches, or enjoy a day out at one of Dubai’s exclusive family beach clubs.

There’s a quick and easy reference map here to Dubai’s major tourist areas and attractions so you can see where everything in Dubai sits, in relative terms!

Our favourite Dubai villas with private pool inside hotels

So on to our selection of best private villas you will find attached to resort hotels. This sort of luxury doesn’t come cheap, but if it’s daily housekeeping you prefer and all the luxury touches of your favourite hotel chains, then these private villas with pool in Dubai are the best option!

Beit Al Bahar – Jumeirah Beach Hotel

Stay at one of Dubai’s premier family hotels but enjoy your own private villa and pool! With one and two-bedroom options, sleeping up to 5, Beit al Bahar villas enjoy luxury touches from a private butler service through to complimentary access to Talise Spa, the resorts private beach, Executive Pool if you want some laps and the Kids Club.

As an added bonus, you’ve got Wild Wadi Waterpark right next door for complimentary family entertainment. This is the perfect luxury family stay in Dubai.

One&Only The Pam Dubai

Enjoy the luxurious touches of the One & Only Resort on Palm Jumeirah whilst soaking in the rays with your own private garden and pool with terrace.

One and Only The Palm Private Villa

Looking out on to the azure Arabian Gulf waters, this is one of Dubai’s most blissful private paradises. Your private villa includes two master bedrooms covering a staggering 325m2, a sensational deep bathtub in each bedroom, large open plan living space, bar, dining space and kitchen. Villa properties have their own entrance to the resort’s private beach.

Anantara the Palm Dubai

We are squeezing this hotel villa option in even though the Anantara Villas are only one bedroom as we absolutely adore this one-of-a-kind location for Dubai – beachside and overwater bungalows! They can fit a maximum of 4 guests.

Watch the sunset from the Palm Dubai from your own private poolside terrace in the beach villas, or admire the waters beneath in the overwater bungalows with glass floor and huge tub – certainly one of Dubai’s more exquisite villa experiences.

A note on tourism taxes in Dubai

It’s important to note, whatever type of accommodation you select in Dubai, be it a single hotel room or a family-sized villa, there is a “tourism dirham fee” to be paid – aka Hotel Tax or City Tax. The exact rate you pay per night depends on the number of rooms and the quality of the property. A cheap hotel room may only be levied 7 AED per room per night whereas a large luxury villa in a hotel will incur 20 AED per night. This fee is to help fund Expo 2020.

You can read our complete guide to undertstanding Dubai’s tourist taxes here.
