Whilst autumn in Dubai doesn’t exactly conjure up images of fall leaves and cuddling up with pumpkin spice lattes (though, believe us, you can get them!), one Fall season tradition that has been fully embraced in the UAE is the celebration of Halloween.
Children locally, particularly those living in family-friendly communities, will get dressed up and partake in Halloween “Trick or Treating” on the 31st of October, but as in many parts of the world, the celebrations spread much further.
Not only will you notice the temperatures in Dubai drop substantially in October, but there are parties aplenty. Alfresco venues shake off the covers, and every entertainment venue will be painted pink for most of the month to support Breast Cancer Awareness month before rapidly turning ghoulishly black and orange for Halloween at the end of the month.

From theme parks to family-focused brunches, here’s where the whole family can get their scare on in October
Monster Party at Legoland Dubai Resort
Get ready with your best dance moves, parents, to join in with the Monster Dance Party at Legoland! Special Lego-building activities and all sorts of spooky fun and games are on offer in Monster Street Games, as well as the Brick or Treat trail.
This is a great option for families with younger children and includes character meet and greets along with spectacular themed shows, arts and crafts, monster smoothie making, and more! Don’t forget to come dressed in your Halloween best, for the chance to win prizes!
After a phantom-tastic day in the theme park, the fun continues at the Legoland Hotel, where guests can enjoy Mini Monster Zumba and a Halloween Pj party and pumpkin hunt, as well as themed buffets throughout the spooky season!

IMG Worlds of Adventure brings you ‘Halloween Horror’ with ‘Haunted Town’.
Theme park fans are set for a month-long celebration of all things creepy this October. Look out for the zombie apocalypse theme, thrilling rides, themed food and drinks, trick-or-treat, and dance performances throughout Dubai’s largest indoor theme park. The festivities conclude with ‘Haunted Town Night’ from 8.00PM on 31 October.

When’s it on? Halloween Horror runs from 1 to 31 October; special evening event ‘Haunted Town Night’, is on October 31, 8:00 PM -1.00 AM

Fright Nights at Motiongate
In October, Motiongate will also be transformed into a Halloween house of horrors with a range of themed activities and character experiences. Note that this year’s publicity reels are particularly scary, so some activities might not be best suited to very young, or sensitive children.
If you’ve not visited Dubai Parks and Resorts in a while, October is an excellent time to experience Motiongate with some ghoulish extras!

Wafi City’s Frightfully Fun Halloween
Wafi City Mall is offering all sorts of treats to customers from October 30 to November 1. There will be family-friendly games, trick or treating and a costume competition, with prizes on offer daily! Check out the website for more details!

Halloween Spookyfest at Al Barari Playground

The Irish Village
The Irish Villages is also getting into the spirit of the season with a Halloween takeover at both their Al Garhoud and Studio One Hotel locations. There will be spooky games and prizes for the best costumes as well as live DJs and a dedicated play area for kids.
