10 Best Family-Friendly Restaurants in Dubai
Whether youโre a Dubai resident or just visiting the lively city with your family, here are 10 of the best kid-friendly restaurants in Dubai that you must try!
Handy map here for reference if you’re trying to find somewhere close to where you’re staying!
1. Wavehouse
Our first recommendation for family-friendly dining in Dubai has to be Wavehouse at Atlantis if you want to enjoy great-tasting food and several indoor activities.
Whether you have toddlers or teens, every family member will have fun at this restaurant in Atlantis – though we’d say it’s ideal for families with kids in the 8+ age group through to teenagers.
For starters, thereโs a 4-lane bowling alley where you can strike to your heartโs content. Then, thereโs a soft play area for the little ones and an arcade game arena for people who enjoy playing games. If youโre up for some thrills before dinner, head over to the Surfs Up wave rider.
When youโre totally famished from all the activities, grab a bite at the restaurant that serves amazing burgers, pizzas, and fast food. Fully licensed, this is one of the perfect places to not only enjoy the food but also let your hair down, as it’s the best family restaurant in Dubai with live music on the terrace.
Where to Find It
- Atlantis, The Palm, Crescent Road, Palm Jumeirah
For information regarding booking, reservations, and events, visit The Wavehouse.
(Insider tip! If you’re staying at Atlantis and the kids love arcade games, make sure you head there during happy hour 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm; even if you aren’t planning to eat until later, get your double credits loaded and ready on their play card!)
2. Carluccioโs
How about you take your family out for delicious, fail-safe Italian food? At Carluccioโs, youโll find the tastiest Italian cuisine, including the all-time favourite pizzas, pasta, risotto, bruschetta, grilled meat, fish, along with a variety of tasty salads.
The best part is that you can enjoy all your favourite Italian dishes with a stellar view of the Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa. And while you enjoy your cheesy meals, your kids can have fun colouring with crayons.
So, whenever you visit the Dubai Mall, you can stop at Carluccioโs for piping hot pizza right out of the oven! Because thereโs always an appetite for pizza!
Where to Find It
- Lower Ground Floor, The Dubai Mall (You can also find them in Dubai Marina Mall and Arabian Ranches)
For information regarding booking, reservations, and events, visit Carluccioโs.
3. Phileas Fogg
Phileas Fogg is one of the best kid-friendly restaurants with alcohol in Dubai, so grown-ups can enjoy a meal and drink while the kids are happily kept occupied, too. It’s a little tucked away from the normal tourist areas, but well worth seeking out this stunning venue in suburban Emirates Hills
Phileas Fogg’s diverse menu includes finger-licking appetizers like prawn crackers, halloumi fries, spring rolls, and popcorn chicken. It also has sharing boards that are popular with families and a wide variety of salads. Then there are steaks, burgers, and pizzas, which kids of all ages love.
If your kids are under 12, you can order something from the kids’ menu with miniature versions of the regular meals, like the Little Burger and the Little Pizza, at very reasonable prices
Foggโs is an all-day restaurant, so you can also indulge in a scrumptious breakfast menu that includes a variety of eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, and cereals. The kids are kept happy with American Pancakes or Little Porky (yup, it’s a licenced pork meat venue, too).
The restaurant’s family-friendly highlight, though, is undoubtedly the shaded kidsโ playground, complete with a climbing frame and a carousel. It is best suited to your 4 to 10-year-old crowd who can play independently.
So, whether you visit Phileas Fogg for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, you and your kids will have a great time, and the grown-ups can relax and enjoy themselves, too!
Where to Find It
- Montgomery Golf Club Academy, 7th Street, Emirates Hills
For information regarding booking, reservations, and events, visit Phileas Fogg.

How about some Japanese cuisine for the family? The Benihana Restaurant, located at the Amwaj Rotana, is one of Dubai’s best family dining restaurants with plenty of variety and entertainment.
The restaurant offers the finest Japanese rolls, sushi, an amazing variety of starters, salads, appetizing platters, soups, and decadent dessert varieties. It also has a live food station, which is the best part about the place!
The skilled chefs show off their cutting, slicing, dicing, and tossing skills to entertain the guests; it’s great if you want to introduce the kids to the thrill of trying new cuisines and witnessing their ninja-esque moves!

- Amwaj Rotana, JBR, The Walk, Al Sayorah Street, Dubai.

It is one of the best family-friendly restaurants in Dubai Mall, and it has food varieties that include Thai, Malaysian, Korean, and Japanese dishes. Social House also offers the standard fare of tasty pizzas, burgers, and classic fish and chips for the kids.

Top Tip – we recommend dining here outside of regular meal hours; whilst seeing the fountains from your seats is undoubtedly a highlight, its prime location outside Dubai Mall makes it exceptionally busy at peak times. We find if you get in before 5:30 pm you have a much better chance of getting a good seat for the first fountain show of the evening.
