What to expect this year at the premier cultural hub of Dubai
Dubai Opera is set to captivate audiences with over 50 international performances during its 2025-2026 season, showcasing a variety of artistic genres from across the globe.
The program promises to deliver an exciting array of regional debuts, exclusive collaborations, and modern interpretations of classic opera, ballet, and musical theatre, solidifying Dubai Opera’s status as the city’s cultural heart.
The eight season will feature the UAE debuts of more than ten world-renowned artists and companies, bringing over 1,000 performers to the stage.
Kicking off with a grand opening week 13 to 21 September 2024, Dubai Opera will host the Polish National Opera’s productions of Aida, Giselle, and Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, offering an unforgettable introduction to the season’s highlights. (Buy tickets here)
For the first time in the Middle East, the beloved West End musical Singin’ in the Rain will dazzle audiences from November 30 to December 14. Another major regional debut is the iconic Broadway hit Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, running from February 1 to 8, which will excite musical theatre enthusiasts.

Returning by popular demand, the acclaimed production Umm Kulthum & The Golden Era will grace the Dubai Opera stage once again this October, following sold-out performances in Saudi Arabia, Jordan, and Bahrain.
Music lovers can also look forward to a series of high-profile concerts featuring celebrated artists like Academy Award-winning composers Hans Zimmer and Gustavo Santaolalla, as well as the acclaimed Max Richter.
The season’s stellar musical line-up will continue with concerts from internationally renowned performers, including Carla Bruni, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Umberto Tozzi, Dire Straits Legacy, and Deep Purple’s Glenn Hughes. Additionally, acclaimed touring shows such as the Broadway and West End sensation STOMP and Romeo & Juliet Suite by L.A. Dance Company will make their Dubai debut.
Special events throughout the season, including the popular Film Music Week, the much-anticipated InClassica festival, and an exciting New Year’s Eve celebration headlined by Parov Stelar, will offer visitors even more reasons to experience Dubai Opera. Notably, the season will introduce a new Symphonic Rock Edition for those craving a fusion of classical and rock music.
The season will also spotlight Arab music stars, with performances from Majid Jordan and Ibrahim Maalouf, adding to the diverse and exciting musical experiences at Dubai Opera.
